It's simple! At The Base NYC we value your time and would love to see you soon at our state of the art studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Whether you have a clear vision or just a spark of an idea, we're here to guide you through the process and ensure you leave with a masterpiece on your skin. Fineline, dainty, realistic, geometric, watercolor, lettering and script or any other styles are welcome. Our wide variety of artists will ensure that yor project will be taken care of.

How Old I Have To Be To Get a Tattoo?

You must be at least 18 years of age. It is against New York State law (Section 260.21) to tattoo a minor, even with parental consent.

How Much Will My Tattoo Cost?

The pricing of a tattoo project at The Base NYC depends on various factors. The factors that affect the pricing are the following : artist choice, size and ink choice, location and complexity of the design. Individual artists determine their own pricing and estimates for a general consideration.

In order to book an appointment, a non-refundable deposit token can be purchased on our website for a specific artist. Feel free to reach out to the studio to confirm availability dates and your preferred time of arrival.

How Should I Prepare for My Tattoo Session?

We recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated. If you start to feel woozy, have a soda. Sugar is your friend in this situation. Walking around NYC all day in the summer, without drinking any water and then coming to get tattooed on an empty stomach is a sure recipe for passing out. It’s best not to party the night before because alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours. Blood also dilutes our pigments, affecting both the appearance of your tattoo as well as the healing process. Remember to stay calm and cool, you’re in good hands. There’s nothing to stress over—it’s just a tattoo!

Do I Need To Leave a Deposit To Schedule an Appointment?

Yes. A $200 deposit is required to make an appointment with all tattoo artist at The Base NYC. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied to the final price of your tattoo. For all questions and concerns please feel free to reach out to the studio.
